In the suitcase of Malù dalla Piccola
Your favourite destination?
Capalbio, in the south of Tuscany.
Your go-to restaurant at this location?
There are several... I really like "ai Caprai" a magical place in the middle of the hills, and "La Macchia" or "la dogana" for a more chic atmosphere by the sea.
The place to visit?
Niki de Saint Phalle's Tarot Garden for an esoteric walk through a garden of monumental sculptures!
Your favourite museum?
I love the Galleria Nazionale, the museum of modern art in Rome, just across from the Villa Borghese garden. They have an absolutely extraordinary collection, paintings, drawings, sculptures and installations of the main artistic movements of the last 2 centuries, from neoclassicism to impressionism, from divisionism to the historical avant-gardes of the early 900's, from futurism to surrealism, and my favourites: Italian art from the 20's to the 40's and the Roman school.
Your cult artist and the work that inspires or moves you?
It's so hard to choose just one artist for me, there are so many that inspire me. One artist who has made a big impact on me lately is Maria Lai. She made a simple thread the instrument of her poetics. Her series of sewn books is my favourite. The work that has moved me the most in general is Giorgione's "La vecchia" which is in the "Gallerie dell'Accademia" in Venice.
A memory that reminds you of this destination?
Gnocchi from Sant Irma restaurant in Capalbio. This is where my passion for gnocchi started, I love to cook and it has become my signature dish :)
The outfits Tressé that you take with you?
Very difficult choice... I would like to take the whole last suitcase with me! I particularly like the Cilia shirt with the Panta trousers in all their versions. I think it's a perfect ensemble that can be worn casual or elegant with the right accessories! I also really like the blue Salan jumpsuit, perfect for the upcoming season.
